Project Description
AspUserManager is a Windows Forms appplication with which developers and site administrators can manage Users and Roles in an ASP.Net 2.0 SQL database. It is developed in C# and requires .Net 2.0

Why needed
It eliminates the need to use the ASP.NET Configuration tool in Visual Studio, which cannot be used stand-alone in the productive environment.

Database Details
ASP User Manager uses the Database, ASP Membership and Role provider settings supplied in the AspUserManager.exe.config file. The information required is identical to the <system.web> section of the web.config file of an ASP Web Site. You can use the default provided here, which assumes you have created a standard ASP.Net database called aspnetdb, or you can copy/past the <system.web> section from your existing ASP Web Site.

If you don't have an ASP.NET security database, you can create one using the aspnet_regsql.exe tool found in the .Net Framework folder.
